Places We Meet - Art in Public Spaces

Stavanger, 2026

Ahead of 24 Hours of Art (see previous project for more information), a two-day professional seminar will be held, focusing on performative art, social practice, and collective sensitivity in public spaces. 
 The seminar will explore how art can activate urban and outdoor spaces through partici- patory and relational practices, and how artists, institutions, and audiences can together create temporary communities, disrupt the everyday, and open up new ways of sensing, moving through, and under- standing the city. The program will include lectures, panel discussions, breakout sessions, and an art bar.
